Ordinarily, we would be fortunate enough to feature one or two 97 Point rated Cabernets each year, especially given that on almost all occasions, said wines are made in miniscule amounts, almost always a few hundred cases at best and almost always they aren't cheap. What we have here is the StarDozen: 97 Point Cabernet Collection, featuring 3 bottles each from 4 renowned producers. All wines rating 97 Points from Australia's leading wine critics and all significantly below their retail price. This is a rare and extremely limited opportunity.

The StarDozen consists of the following:

3 bottles        Wynns Coonawarra Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
3 bottles        Warramunda Cabernets 2018
3 bottles        Houghton Wisdom Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
3 bottles        Flowstone Queen of the Earth Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Wynns Coonawarra Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Medium deep crimson. Lovely blackcurrant pastille, cedar aromas with herb garden, sage notes. Well concentrated with blackcurrant, roasted chestnut, vanilla flavours, classical fine-grained tannins, inky density, beautiful richness and al-dente firm cedary finish with fresh integrated quartz-like line. A gorgeously seductive wine with the fruit complexity, balance and persistence for medium to long term cellaring. A very fine vintage with St Julien-like structure. Rating: 97 Points; Andrew Caillard; Master of Wine

Warramunda Cabernets 2018
The wine celebrates the vineyards 20th anniversary and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is a wine that exudes class and has all the hallmarks to be a remarkable wine over the coming decades. Yarra Valley meets left Bank Bordeaux. The wine is a deep red in the glass, the nose opens with time after initially showing graphite and blackberry before subtle influence of dark chocolate, old leather and oak derived spice. The palate has a firm baseline of tannin and acid that is met in equal measure by drying dark fruits, tobacco and dark chocolate build on the mid palate with expressive blackberry and a weave of spice to finish. A wine worth seeking out. Drink to: 2020 - 2045; Closure: Cork; Price: $55.00; Tasted: August 2020; Alcohol: 14%; Rating: 97 Points; Patrick Eckel; Wine Reviewer

Houghton Wisdom Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Houghton clone, Selectiv'-harvested or hand-picked and sorted, destemmed whole berries wild yeast-open fermented, 10 days on skins, matured for 13 months in French oak (33% new). Fragrant bouquet, fruit, oak and tannins all building a very, very impressive picture. Margaret River's climate is second to none. Drink to: 2037; Price: $40.00; Date Tasted: January 2020; Alcohol: 14%; Rating: 97 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday

Flowstone Queen of the Earth Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Open-fermented, plunged three times daily, before 17 days on skins, 3 years in barrel plus another 15 months of settling prior to dispatch, the result is a lustrous cabernet. Crushed herb melds effortlessly with cassis, violet, gummy bear pastille, black olive and a swab of bay leaf tannins. There is so much glycerol, that it is already a nice drink. Perfumed and inviting. However, my suggestion is to test your patience, cellaring it for 8 years onwards. Drink to: 2030; Price: $74.00; Date Tasted: Dec 2018; Alcohol: 14.5%; Rating: 97 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
