The Credaro family are pioneers to the Margaret River region, first settling in 1922 after migrating from Northern Italy. Initially involved in farming and the timber industry, small plots of vines were planted to provide the family with table wine. The family have now been commercially involved in the wine industry since the 1980′s. The Credaro family produce all of their own wines, in their winery in Northern Margaret River. Winemaker Dave Johnson enjoys a close working relationship with the Credaro Family in the vineyard and believes that this is crucial to getting the most out of every batch of Credaro fruit.

This has to be the finest cabernet yet under this label. There's power, structure, and poise - a compelling combination. On the nose, lovely floral perfumes, with bright red and black fruit and a little bay leaf lift. There's vibrancy, and it's alive with energy on the palate. Finely integrated and poised, with concentration and an effortless ease that extends to a long finish. Make sure you decant it, allow it to open up, and then you've got something worth lingering over. Drink to: 2025-2045; Alcohol: 14.0%; Price: $100.00; Rating: 97 Points; Ray Jordan

Blackberries baked in a pie, boysenberry, and some swirls of melted carob. Nigella seed, tonka bean, and a briary note of ivy and dried bay leaf. Full of poise and precision where tannins and acidity are concerned, this is elegant drinking now. Or will reward with careful cellaring in another decade. Beef Wellington from someone you trust. Drink to: 2025-2035; Price: $100.00; Rating: 95 Points; Andrew Caillard MW
