Situated in the picturesque Hall Valley, in the Murrumbidgee River corridor, just outside the ACT, the Nick O'Leary estate incorporates a modern winemaking facility and a mature five hectare vineyard. Since their beginnings, well over a decade ago, their focus has always been to make hand worked Shiraz and Riesling wines that truly exhibit the character of the region as well as expressing Nick's unique personality and style. Nick O'Leary has received high profile recognition at a national and international level for his Shiraz including the prestigious Stodart Trophy.

Hand-picked fruit from 8 mature vineyards, chilled then whole-bunch pressed on a slow champagne cycle for 4 hours; inoculated with neutral yeast and left on fine lees until bottling in the last week of June ’21. Always reliable and a very good go-to drink, because it’s juicy and refreshing without any brittleness to the acidity. It’s also full of freshly squeezed Indian limes and wet pebbles with a touch of lemon curd. The finish is impressively long. Drink to: 2029; Price: $25.00; Date Tasted: Dec 2021; Alcohol: 12%; Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star; Jane Faulkner; James Halliday Wine Companion
