Flaxman’s Valley in the Eden Valley is one of the Australia’s classic regions for Riesling. HATCH Flaxman Valley Riesling is delicate and floral with hints of lime and jasmine. The palate is elegant with intense fruit and fine natural acidity.

A classic Eden Valley Riesling, from a great year, and in particular, the Flaxman Valley sub-region. A very pale lemon hue, this is a brilliant follow-up to the initial release last year – at least as good, probably better. This in your cellar for the next decade or two will make you think you are wise indeed. And you would be correct. Wonderful aromatics, with notes of florals, lemon curd, limes and a supporting line of sea breeze acidity. The wine has balance, intensity and finesse. A wonderful Riesling, with serious length and a fifteen years plus ahead of it. A star, and there is room here for this to elevate its score in the coming years.
