Grosset Wines philosophy has remained steadfast over thirty years. The emphasis is on purity of fruit.  The organically managed vineyards are hand tended, and each bunch of grapes is harvested at optimum ripeness. The winemaking process is gentle and uncomplicated.  With dedication, discipline and the application of knowledge garnered through decades of experience, the result is the finest expression of variety and place.

The ‘Springvale’ also surprises being more intensely primal than it is in most vintages. It entices with lime and lemon blossom aromas. There’s layer after layer of mouth-puckering lime juice flavours, tight structure, spine-tingling acidity and shaley minerally notes that linger. It’s an outstanding ‘Springvale’, fine, intense, pure, minerally and dry.

The aromatics are quintessential Clare Riesling - intense and pure lemon lime, with depth on the mid-palate: mouth-puckering, fine, and lingering on a long, sumptuous finish. Thanks to a cool season, biodynamic farming and the unique site of red loam-over-limestone (and slate), the typical generosity expressed by this wine is enhanced by fresh, powerful varietal characteristics. Produced from Riesling grown at Grosset Springvale Vineyard, certified organic and biodynamic (ACO). Unfined: vegan and vegetarian friendly .

You get flashy aromatics, mid-palate fruit flesh and intensity, and a penetrating drive of flavour through the finish. This wine is only a few months old but already, it offers a lot. It will get better. Lime juice, grapefruit, citrus peel, a keen Riverstone character and exquisite length. This is textbook in the best of ways. Date: Jul 2025; Alcohol: 12.3%; Price: $58; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2025-2038; Rated: 96 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front

Very light green-yellow colour; intense and lifted fragrance of lime leaf and lemon blossom, with a creamy pastry/yeasty overtone. The wine is likewise bright and very youthful in the mouth, concentrated, with cleansing acidity, good fruit intensity and persistence, with a hint of mid-palate richness which sets it apart. A precision wine that really sings on the tongue. Date: Jul 2025; Alcohol: 12.3%; Price: $58.00; Drink: 2026-2037; Rating: 95 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review
