Hoddles Creek Estate was established in 1997 when the D'Anna family decided to establish a vineyard on the property that has been in the family since 1960. The vineyard sits astride Gembrook road and adjacent Hoddles Creek.
There’s quite a lot of grip to this release and a lot of colour too, the latter heading towards amber territory. It tastes of nashi pear, twiggy spice and a lot of savouriness in general, with rose and zucchini flower notes through the finish. It’s very tonic-like, very dry and very firm. This release needs food. Date: Sept 2026; Alcohol: 12.5%; Price: $20; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2027-2030 Rated: 91 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front
