Made by the guys at Hoddles Creek; the Wickhams Road wines are made with the same philosophy used with Hoddles Creek. They are single vineyard wines with the care and attention that has made Hoddles Creek such a success. The difference with Wickhams Road is that it has been sourced from trusted growers around Victoria. Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
Made with the same exacting standards as the Hoddles Creek estate grown Chardonnay, this Wickhams Road Chardonnay is foward, lively and balanced. Sourced from Vineyards in Healesville and the Upper Yarra. The Healesville component gives some mid palate weight, whilst the upper Yarra provides finesse and the long acid drive.
From the Woori Yallock district in Upper Yarra Valley. It sidles up to you, and it's only on the 2nd taste that its sheer intensity and class drops its guard. The price of the wine should be doubled, to reflect this perfect rendition of the varietal array of pink grapefruit and blood orange. There's great mouthfeel and precise balance. Drink to: 2036; Price: $19.00; Date Tasted: Nov 2021; Alcohol: 13%; Rating: 96 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
