Coppabella is owned by Jason and Alecia Brown, owners of the highly successful Moppity Vineyards in Hilltops. They became aware of the quality of Tumbarumba chardonnay and pinot noir, in particular the quality of the grapes from the 71ha Coppabella vineyard, when purchasing grapes for Moppity Vineyards. Coppabella is run as an entirely separate venture from Moppity.
Expect deliciousness. In fact, expect a lot of deliciousness. This wine lays down the law of chardonnay-fuelled flavour, bowling pear, white peach, ripe nectarine and nougat flavours down the clear, pure, long rails of your palate. This isn't just a wine, it's a thing of beauty. It's an A Grade wine. Date Tasted: June 2026; Alcohol: 12.5%; Price: $45.00; Rating: 94 Points; Campbell Mattinson
Grapefruit zest, white nectarine and lemon curd layered with citrus blossom, crushed oyster shell and subtle flint. The palate is medium-bodied delivering concentrated citrus and stone fruit flavours before a mineral thread develops through the mid-palate. Fresh acidity drives the wine with energy and focus, while integrated oak adds texture and amazing complexity. The finish is long, clean and impressively persistent. A vibrant and finely crafted Chardonnay showcasing freshness, purity and regional finesse. Rated: 95 Points; Vino Masters
