Just over 20 years ago, Claymore Wines was humbly established with small volumes of Grenache and Riesling from a single vineyard in Penwortham. Since then, the estate has grown to include additional varietals and 44 hectares across three additional vineyards in Watervale.
Made from a blend of parcels drawn from our three Riesling sites, this wine is crafted using only free run juice and cool fermentation. It once again delivers a classic Watervale Rizza with that forward fruit lift and delicate floral elements.

The follow-up vintage to the great 2021, 2022 is emerging as another superstar, and 50/50 producers seem to prefer one over the other. So here, this 2022 Riesling Joshua Tree is juicy, mineral and generous, with layers of enveloping fruit and fine, pithy acidity rolling over each other in the mouth. Really smart summer drinking, and summer is just around the corner. Rating: 93 Points; Erin Larkin in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Very light, bright straw-yellow; very appealing flowery, straw, yeast and dried pot-pourri aromas, the palate intense and bright with quite searing acidity that powers a long finish. The acidity is intense but balanced and calls for a simple piece of pan-fried fish. Classic Clare and quite lovely. Date Tasted: November 2022; Drink: 2024 to 2034; Price: $24.00; Alcohol: 11.8%; Rating: 92 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review
Generous, substantial and juicy for a Clare Valley dry riesling, this has plenty of zesty citrus fruit and an invigorating vitality. Drink or hold. Screw cap. Rating: 92 Points; Nick Stock in James Suckling
