Delas Freres Cotes du Rhone Saint Esprit 2018
2017 Review: This is crowd-pleasingly attractive; a lovely modern expression filled with dark fruit richness as well as seductive notes of thyme, spice and game. It is supple and smooth with succulent fruit intensity, leading to a lengthy flavoursome finish. Tasted: March 2019; Drink: Now to 2027. Price: $23.00; Rating: 93 Points; Sam Kim; Wine Orbit
Mont-Redon Reserve Cotes du Rhone 2017
2016 Review: Moving to the reds, the 2016 Côtes du Rhône Reserve is a juicy, straight up delicious red that gives up lots of red and black berry fruits, black pepper, violets, and earth in its pure, medium-bodied, beautifully balanced style. It’s made in a fresher, elegant style, yet has plenty of mid-palate depth, and it’s going to evolve for at least 7-8 years. Rating: 90 Points; Jeb Dunnuck
Pierre Amadieu Cotes du Rhone Roulepierre Rouge 2017
Bunches of Grenache and Syrah grown on chalk and clay soils are strictly sorted to produce this cuvée. Hand harvests and traditional winemaking processes give a wine with red and black fruits aromas (blackberry and plum). A sweet touch of liquorice plus spice add layers to the sumptuous palate. A mouth filling wine in a pure Rhône style.
Bernard Schurr Cotes Du Rhone Villages 2017
2016 Review: Combining fruit richness and savoury complexity, this gorgeous rendition offers lifted aromas of dark plum, dried cherry, truffle and cake spice on the nose, leading to a sumptuous palate that is silky and mouthfilling. The wine is generously expressed with layers of silky texture and spicy nuances, finishing long and succulent. At its best: now to 2021. Price : $27.00; Rating: 93 Points; Sam Kim; Wine Orbit
