After 10 vintages as winemaker at the esteemed Mount Mary Vineyard, Rob Hall has gone solo. These wines mark a distinct change in direction, being approachable in their youth, and very affordable. Rob sources his premium fruit from three separate vineyards around the Yarra Valley, all chosen for their distinct characteristics which you can see in the concentration of flavour’s in these wines. Rob also grows his own fruit at Harriet’s Vineyard, south of Healesville, now released as single vineyard wines.

Fruit from Harriet's vineyard in Healesville was augmented with 20% fruit from The Full Moon vineyard in Gladysdale; 15% whole bunches. A very bright crimson. A quiet and seductive bouquet of wild strawberry, dried rose and just a hint of Earl Grey tea. Medium bodied; the fruit spreads evenly across the palate. The tannins are subtle, understated and persistent, as is the finish. Rob Hall hasn't missed a beat in '25. Drink now and over the next six to eight years. Date: Feb 2026; Alcohol: 13.5%; Price: $50.00; Drink by: 2034; Rating: 97 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
