Mulline Vintners is a collaboration between 2 Bens. Collectively, Ben Mullen + Ben Hine are Mulline Vintners.
A single-vineyard wine planted with MV6 and Abel clones in the late '90s; 25% whole bunches. A bright, medium crimson. Whereas the '24 was quite restrained, this is beautifully fragrant from the get-go, with its bouquet of red and black fruits, bramble and lifted florals. The palate is gently mouth-filling with silky tannins that make it a pleasure to drink now but will also ensure it continues to become more complex over the next five to seven years. Date: Feb 2026; Alcohol: 12%; Price: $65.00; Drink by: 2032; Rating: 97 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
Hello. This is a wine. Taut, composed, well fruited, smoky, savoury and sustained. It’s ‘a lot’, as GW would say, but it has flow and flavour and charm and more. The juiciness of the fruit here, the push through the finish, the way the savouriness gets caught up in the momentum of it all. Yes. This is excellent. The tannin is full of flavour too; flowers and smokes and fruit. Date: May 2026; Alcohol: 12%; Price: $65; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2026-2033+; Rated: 95 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front
