Meerea Park is family owned, with the label launched in 1991. Handcrafted wines using fruit grown on some of the Hunter Valley's best vineyard sites that have a track record for producing the best possible grapes in both good and not so good vintages. Meerea Park, while taking a modern approach to winemaking, has winemaking roots in the Hunter Valley back to the 1850's when Alexander Munro, great-great-grandfather established the 'Bebeah' vineyard at Singleton and was at one stage the largest and most successful winemaker in New South Wales. During his winemaking career he amassed over 2000 awards at wine shows around the world.
Chardonnay grapes were sourced from the King Valley region in Victoria. A modern crisp Chardonnay style. Barrel fermented, but no malolactic fermentation allowed.
White peach, nectarine and citrus aromas on the nose. There is great fruit purity and fresh zesty acidity that gives the wine great drive on the finish.
