Jeanneret Wines was established in 1992 by the Jeanneret family who were led heart first into the regions’ vineyards. A passion for making wines purely for their own enjoyment organically expanded into a business and the Jeanneret cellar door was opened in October 1994.

The ‘Reserve’ wine called the Minerva represents a selection of the best Cabernet Sauvignon of the vintage.

An excellent season reflected in this first-rate wine. It's had plenty of time on skins and lees with 32 months in oak, and yet there's no way you'd say this wine is anything remotely oaky. The powerful, rich fruit has absorbed the oak easily, allowing it to provide that important structural element alongside the firm thread of tannins. Loads of black fruit, blackcurrant, dark plum, and chocolate, it's all in there. The palate is seamless, smooth, and perfectly integrated. A terrific example of cabernet from this region. Drink to: 2025-2040; Alcohol: 15%; Price: $55.00; Rating: 95 Points; Ray Jordan

2021 is becoming a legendary vintage across numerous SA regions, including Clare. This is a vintage that should be overrepresented in your cellar. This wine represents the best Cabernet the team can source from their vineyard in the Armagh sub-region. An impressively crafted wine. An opaque maroon; the nose gives us notes of chocolate, coffee beans, cassis, licorice, herbs, and mocha. Plush and generous, this is beautifully constructed. There is bright acidity, sleek tannins and very good length. Drink to: 2025-2045; Alcohol: 15%; Price: $55.00; Rating: 95 Points; Ken Gargett
