Jeanneret Wines was established in 1992 by the Jeanneret family who were led heart first into the regions’ vineyards. A passion for making wines purely for their own enjoyment organically expanded into a business and the Jeanneret cellar door was opened in October 1994.

The Big Fine Girl Riesling has a lovely zesty nose of peach, nectarine, apple and lemon. And there's a suggestion of something tropical too. Elegant and pure on the palate, it nonetheless has a surprising weight of fruit and good texture. Lovely to drink on it's own but that weight and textures make it a great companion to food.

This is a riesling of texture, character and sheer fruit intensity. It kicks goals on every front. It tastes essentially of lime juice but then tonic-like characters, sweet spice and lime leaf notes also waft attractively throughout. There’s a little more texture here, a suggestion of plumpness if you will, which adds to the wine’s overall impression of power. It’s good. It works. Alcohol: 13.5%; Price: $30.00; Rated: 92 Points; Campbell Mattinson

Another excellent riesling which shows a slightly distinctive style from this producer. Once again, it has a textural feel on the palate, but it still retains an energy and brightness with a degree of tension that speaks of riesling. It was an excellent season for this variety in Clare, producing wine of tremendous intensity and balance, and that’s a feature of this wine. Some lovely complex characters within the palate. An excellent expression of this variety. Drink 2025-2035; Price: $30.00; Rating: 93 Points; Ray Jordan
