The history of Evans & Tate dates back to 1971 when John Evans & John Tate first planted vines in the Swan Valley. Three years later, they purchased land and planted a vineyard in Wilyabrup, in the heart of Margaret River, which they named Redbrook.
Ripe dark fruits and layered, complex savoury spice with a lovely perfumed lift that only the best Margaret River Cabernet wines are renowned for. Blackberry, olive and dry earth mingle with a touch of bright leafiness defining an elegant palate. These driving flavours are matched with a lovely dry, fine tannin grip typical of young Cabernet Sauvignon from the excellent 2020 Margaret River vintage.

The panel enjoyed the vibrancy and dense floral/fruit concentration in this wine, so I was not surprised to find out there is 12 per cent malbec in the blend. Value for money is through the roof. This is big on flavour, a little juicy up-front, finishing with plush, dry tannins. Classical blackcurrant, tapenade and cocoa powder. Drink now or cellar and enjoy for up to five years.
