Brian Anderson, and his son Ben, purchased 32 acres of land in Lenswood, Adelaide Hills in 1994 and developed it into a vineyard. The family focuses on producing high quality wine grapes and premium wines. Since Brian's passing, Ben and his wife Clare have continued to run the family business.

A South Australian staple, this vintage of shiraz saw cool night and warm days lending to a graceful twist. Full bodied blackberries and prunes with white pepper and spice is rounded out by seasoned French Oak. This classic Adelaide Hills shiraz has an amazing length with smooth mouth coating tannins.

This is a terrific wine. It shows a fairly typical regional character of violets and spice. Deliciously textured with slightly toasty, rustic red fruits, supported by fine silky tannins and some nice oak treatment. I'm really enjoying this as a wine to drink in the short term, although it certainly has the fruit weight and the structure to support cellaring. Such a good drink. Rating: 95 Points; Ray Jordan

A fine nose of varietal fidelity with camphor, iodine, blueberry and white pepper. Clove and smoked meat, too. Long and plush, if not a bit hot. The tannins corral, refine and pummel the palate with an impression of savouriness. Good gear. A winner. Drink to: 2029; Alcohol: 14.7%; Price: $50.00; Rating: 93 Points; James Halliday Wine Companion
