After its establishment in 2000, Bob and Marilyn Fowler purchased the estate in 2010 and created Willoughby Park. Since then, the Fowler family’s intention has been to create expressive wines that are true representations of the Great Southern wine region.

The Kalgan River range is all Estate grown fruit from our premium Kalgan River cool climate vineyard. Previously thought of as one of the great secrets of the Great Southern, Kalgan River is quickly developing a well-known reputation as a premium fruit source. A perfume of citrus, blossom and cut lime. A textured mouth feel, with zesty lime juice and complex floral notes, crisp acidity and a mineral finish.

Light to mid yellow hue; fresh lemony aromas, pure and sweet-smelling, the palate echoing this and underlining the fruit with a tracery of sweetness, albeit subtle. Fruit from Kalgan River, left on lees for 6 months. Cheesecloth, lanolin, salted preserved lemon, citrus pith and white pepper. There's a lot going on here, built within the confines of lacy phenolics and saline acidity.
