This impeccably run Estate crafts a set of wines that ooze style and class. Even better, the quality just keeps getting better and better, reflecting the continual evolution in the vineyard and winery. It was Michel Wright who immaculately built this property into the beacon it has become today. While Voyager's founder and visionary sadly passed away in 2012, he left a powerful legacy of an absolute commitment to quality that today pervades every corner of Voyager. The Estate remains family owned, with Michael’s daughter, Alex Burt (nee Wright), matching her father's fanatical attention to detail with an environmental conscience that has opened another important chapter in the history of this Estate.
Margaret River is known world-wide for producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and our Stevens Valley site was selected because it has some of the best gravelly slopes in the region. Our 33-year-old Old Block and our younger “shining star” North Block, in particular, produce amazing Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. Fruit from these vineyards form the core of the Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot and are no doubt responsible for this wine’s heritage and consistency.

90% cabernet sauvignon, 6% merlot and 4% petit verdot. Deep, bright purple-crimson hue; the expressive indeed, perfumed bouquet pointing the way for the elegant medium-bodied palate, where juicy fruit, oak and tannins are fused seamlessly together. An appropriate wine for Voyager's 40th anniversary, certain to celebrate its 50th. The difficulty will be keeping your hands off it.
