Catalina Sounds Sauvignon Blanc 2020
2019 Review: Gently tangy sauvignon blanc with lime zest, passionfruit and peppery capsicum flavours. Subtle fruit sweetness contrasts nicely with the wines grassy character. An ethereal texture adds further appeal. Date Tasted: Feb 2020; Rating: 91 Points; Bob Campbell; The Real Review
Astrolabe Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Ripe, deliciously fruity sauvignon blanc with melon, guava and citrus-lime, together with smattering of fresh herbs. A creamy-textured wine with good weight and a lingering finish. Textbook Marlborough sauvignon. Date Tasted: Dec 2019; Rating 94 Points; Bob Campbell MW; The Real Review
Black Cottage Sauvignon Blanc 2020
2019 Review: Attractive, fresh lemons and limes with mangoes and papaya here, too. The palate has a very smooth and juicy feel. A riot of tangy tropical-fruit flavor! Drink now. Screw cap. Date Tasted: Oct 2019; Rating: 91 Points; Nick Stock; James Sucking
Vidal Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2020
Fruit for this wine was grown in the Wairau (predominant) and Awatere Valleys where typical warm days and cool nights provide classic flavours, intensity and definition. Vineyard selection for this wine was based on the potential of each site to produce wines which show tropical fruit flavours and generosity. The fruit was gently pressed and the juice cool fermented to retain as much flavour and aroma as possible. Lees ageing of some components prior to bottling has developed mid-palate weight adding to the wine’s intense fruit characters.
