Pertaringa Over the Top Shiraz 2018
Rich and ripe - dark and brooding with slightly jammy/cordial like sweet fruit characters on the nose and a lovely, long and lingering full flavoured palate. Price: $40.00; Rating: ★★★★★; Top in Category (97-100 Points); Winestate Magazine; September 2020

Allegiance Wines The Tiger McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018
Needs a decant to get the party in this bottle started. Black cherry, both fresh and dried fruits wed to dried herbs, oregano and bay leaf. The McLaren Vale soft tannins are fully expressed here, wed to the dark cherry fruits on the front palate. Rating:  94 Points; Rob Geddes MW

Curtis Cavaliere McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
A full-bodied cabernet with considerable complexity and depth, fruit and oak locked in unarmed combat, blackberry to the fore, but the oak not yielding. The tannins are balanced and integrated, as is the hint of McLaren Vale dark chocolate. Classy packaging. Drink to: 2035; Price: $70.00; Alcohol: 14%; Rating: 94 Points; James Halliday; Wine Companion

Haselgrove Protector Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
I have a soft spot for Vale cabernet. It boasts maritime aromas, black olive, oyster shell and soy sauce salinity. As distinctive – and when good – distinguished as any of the region's top performing varieties. Cassis and black cherry pulse through the mid palate, with sage-crusted tannins corralling the impressive finish to great length and a rewarding savouriness. Tannin management at this top tier is very impressive. Drink to: 2032; Price: $40.00; Date Tasted: June 2021; Alcohol: 14%; Rating: 95 Points; Ned Goodwin MW; James Halliday Wine Companion
