In 1962, 19 vine growers from San Marzano whose families had farmed the land for generations, combined their efforts to establish 'Cantine San Marzano'. Through the decades this cooperative has grown significantly, attracting over 1,200 vine growers. Using modern and technologically advanced vinification techniques they produce elegant wines that pay homage to the ancient Apulian wine traditions.
80% Chardonnay, 15% Moscatello Selvatico, 5% Fiano
Ripe peach, smooth vanilla and floral notes perfectly balance the fresh lime, mint and herbal complexity. The palate is generous and full of elegance, freshness and minerality. This wine is beautifully rounded with an exceptional well-balanced palate. The taste is generous, elegant, fresh, delicate and mineral. The finish is long and soft. Mainly Chardonnay with - as the winery notes - "white native grapes". We know these to be Moscatello and Fiano. Rating: 99 Points; Luca Maroni; Annuario Dei Migliori Vini Italiani
