If you like Barolo, you'll like this. It hits all the notes you'd hope for. There's a gentle raspberried sweetness to the fruit upfront, but it quickly gives way to leather, liquorice, sage and roast beef characters, and it finishes with an excellent etching of fine-grained tannin, the latter of which does not come at the expense of flavour, which continues to push on. This wine really hits the spot. It's very good, and the value is high.
