The property was established in 1979 and further planted in 1996, but the core premium wines are made from their Burgundian varieties. All the fruit is 100% estate grown, and is farmed on small blocks with varying elevations and soil types, giving a unique palate to work with in the final composition of the wines. Hailing from the Bannockburn wine region north of Geelong in Victoria, farms from their 13 hectares of cool climate vineyards. The vineyards are located on the hillsides above the Moorabool River, offering cool climate influence for the grape growing.

Sourced from some of the oldest Pinot Gris vines in Victoria, planted 1996, the fruit gives depth and palate weight to the final wine.

From 1996 plantings; a portion matured briefly in old hogsheads. A bright yellow gold with green tinges. A melange of orchard fruits, pears, honeysuckle and spice announce this very convincing gris. Gently textured, the medium-bodied and beautifully balanced palate has a fine bead of acidity giving the wine structure and length. Good stuff. Date: Dec 2022; Alcohol: 12.5%; Price: $40.00; Drink by: 2026; Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star; Philip Rich; James Halliday Wine Companion
