Andre Clouet produce an exceptional range of grower champagnes that are rich, concentrated expressions of pinot noir that manage to retain elegance and finesse. A wine making family of more than 2 centuries, the founder acted as a printer in Louis XV court of Versailles and the wines are cellared under the family’s 17th century village house. The style of the labels reflect this heritage.

The vineyard for André Clouet Grand Cru Millésime lies in the village of Bouzy. All of its plots are qualified as Grand Cru. The soils of the parcels are clayey-calcareous, typical of Champagne, and face south and south-east to make the most of the sun and to ensure that the grape ripening is total and balanced. Long aged Pinot Noir Champagne with a touch of Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir gives more body and volume on the palate, and the Chardonnay a little more verticality. Both varieties are perfectly balanced after the long ageing in stacks to which they are subjected.
