The modern day Maison of Veuve Clicquot possesses one of the finest champagne vineyards, both in terms of its size and the quality of its vines. Its 390 hectares are divided between 12 of the 17 Grands Crus, and between 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus that constitute the entire Champagne region. This exceptional heritage was built up over the centuries, founded upon the parcels first established by the founder, and added to by subsequent vineyard directors. In particular, Veuve Clicquot bears the fortuitous territorial mark of Madame Clicquot.

The year 2015 was declared a Veuve Clicquot vintage and became the 67th of the House since the creation of the first vintage, by Madame Clicquot in 1810. This wine reveals the flavors of an exceptional year. Eternal signature of the Vintage cuvée, the structure is angular and fleshy, the pinot noir playing its role of building. Thus, all in balance, Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2015 presents a concentrated and structured wine. The predominance of pinot noir and the subtle touch of 10% of wines aged in oak casks and prolonged aging on lees gives the power and aromatic richness so typical of the Veuve Clicquot Vintage style.

The predominance of Pinot Noir (50%), produced exclusively from grapes selected from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages, provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot. Chardonnay (30%) brings the elegance and finesse of a perfectly balanced wine, while a small percentage of Pinot Meunier (20%) rounds out the blend. This wine stands out for its elegance, tension and energy. The first impression is of its tension, verticality and minerality, after which the wine unfolds its aromas of toast, roasted coffee beans and praline. The excellent structure makes this a fine, upstanding vintage.
