Fruit for the flagship Reserve comes from the Clappis McLaren Vale vineyard, run on organic and biodynamic principles. The winery claims the 2022 will give the 2021 (touted as 'the best quality vintage so far this century') a run for its money certainly lower, more concentrated yields would lend to that conclusion. The 2022 has elicited 96 Points in Wine Orbit but the head turner for us (before even considering the price) were the comments of Campbell Mattinson:

This smooth-skinned shiraz comes drenched in bold, black berried fruit flavour. It tastes of roasted plum, black cherry, vanilla, peppercorn and toast, and while firm-ish tannin serves to structure the wine as a whole, the fruit, oak, acid and tannin all feel harmonious and indeed seamless. There's a lot of wine here but it all feels impeccably well controlled. Tasted: September 2025; Alcohol: 14.5%; Price: $80.00; Closure: Screwcap; Rated: 94 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front
