Made by the guys at Hoddles Creek; the Wickhams Road wines are made with the same philosophy used with Hoddles Creek. They are single vineyard wines with the care and attention that has made Hoddles Creek such a success. The difference with Wickhams Road is that it has been sourced from trusted growers around Victoria. Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
Made with the same exacting standards as the Hoddles Creek estate grown Chardonnay, this Wickhams Road Chardonnay is foward, lively and balanced. Sourced from Vineyards in Healesville and the Upper Yarra. The Healesville component gives some mid palate weight, whilst the upper Yarra provides finesse and the long acid drive.
There was no way winemaker Franco D'Anna was going to miss anything that was offer from the vintage. This has an immaculate display of grapefruit, Granny Smith apple and white peach. The oak contribution is minimal, but there, and the length and balance are the only possible outcome.
