The property was purchased from Goundrey in 2009. This state-of-the-art winery is a world class facility, importantly located in Mount Barker, the premier fruit source location for West Cape Howe.
It's the exceptionally fine fruit quality of the Great Southern region and the combined skill and artistry of viticulture and winemaking that provides the West Cape Howe wine drinker with a truly memorable experience. West Cape Howe has acquired some of the oldest vineyard resources in Western Australia, giving unequalled access to the best and most consistent quality fruit that the cool Great Southern wine region has to offer.
Matured for 18 months in French oak. The colour is deep, the bouquet eloquently pointing to the blackcurrant, savoury/foresty/bay leaf flavours that duly gather centre stage on the palate. The tannins, too, are exactly as needed for the coming decades.
