The Turkey Flat vineyards and winery are now situated on the historic Section One property in the centre of the Barossa. The Schulz family became owners of the Turkey Flat property in around 1865 and while they continued to tend the ancient vineyard, they also developed a thriving butchers business.
Bucking the notion that Rosé is an afterthought, our 'Prince of Pink' has a special place in our hearts & is crafted with a clear purpose. We create the lifted palate of bright, primary fruits by placing rosey-cheeked Grenache in its starring role. The considered additions of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon & Mataro add tannin and intriguing elements of spice & herbaceousness that have come to be this wine's hallmark.
Sourced from specific sites achieving perfect yields promoting prominent primary fruit while retaining appealing palate cleansing crispness.
Super classy. This sits atop the Barossa Rosé podium. So sexy on the eye, gorgeous perfume diffuse from the glass with absolute ease. A belter for 25 bucks! A glorious creaminess floods the mouth on the back of red fruits and berries which do nothing but charm. Fine spices sizzle and reach long with a crunchy factor on close. Gallons of pleasure awaits. A simply glorious wine made from that equally glorious variety – Grenache. Rating: 95 Points; QWine
A bit of smoky cap gun over white cherry, fresh strawberry, white pepper and aniseed. It’s pure and fresh, so bright and energetic, but not at all tangy or abrasive, fine chalky texture, and a very long cool finish. Flat out delicious. You could drink gallons of it, and I most likely will. Tasted: Jun 2020; Alcohol: 12.5%; Price: $24; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2020-2027; Rated: 94 Points; Gary Walsh; The Wine Front
