The Stonehaven winery was built in 1998 by Hardy’s, with a focus to express what the Limestone Coast can offer as a region. Since then the brand has relaunched back into the market with wth a refreshed look with a range of wines for every occasion.
A dry season with cool nights enabled grapes to develop good phenolic ripeness and maintain acidity levels. A deeply fragrant wine with acaí, blueberries, lavender and sandalwood. Caraway, dark chocolate and cola syrup. The fruit continues along that vein with succulent acidity that drives and pushes the flavours forward. Tannins are silky, lined up in a row. This ticks all the boxes for a wine of intensity and finesse from Mount Benson's coastal climate. Drink to: 2032; Date Tasted: February 2026; Alcohol: 14.5%; Price: $45.00; Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
