The Reschke history and its close relationship with Coonawarra began in 1906 with the establishment of a prime Hereford stud in the heart of the region. It is this cattle grazing heritage that is reflected in the Reschke bull logo, and the names of the premium Reschke wines.
This Pinot Gris is perfumed and lifted fruit-driven wine with abundant vibrant pear, apple and peach characters. Crisp and fresh with a rounded mid palate and the wine lingers with complex fresh fruit flavours.
Attractively aromatics with nashi pear, white peach and gentle florals. Midweight and supple, the palate glides with pear and apple flavours framed by soft phenolics and a fresh, pithy finale. A touch of texture adds interest without sacrificing clarity or crunch. Very drinkable. Rating: 94 Points; Vino Masters
Three vineyards combine to produce the fruit for this fresh and energetic Pinot Gris – one from Padthaway, one from the Limestone Coast and the final vineyard from Wrattonbully. Fermentation is in stainless steel. Pale yellow/straw in colour, the nose reveals stewed pear notes, herbs and florals. It is finely balanced throughout and offers some elegance and focus. A slightly chalky backing, this is a wine of medium length. Attractive drinking now and for the next year or two. Date June 2025; Drink by: 2025-2027; Rating: 91 Points; Ken Gargett; Wine Pilot
