Red Claw wines are hand crafted with fruit from Yabby Lake’s own vineyards. The wines are made following the same principles that guide the single vineyard wines. With Red Claw the emphasis is on making wines that are bright, juicy and more expressive when young – lending them perfectly to the Australian lifestyle and the way we like to dine.
Perfumed, fragrant aromas are dominated by cherry and dark berry fruits complemented by a touch of spice and underlying French oak. The long, silky palate has a lovely elegance and velvety texture, with concentrated red fruit flavours and a finely poised finish.
2018 Review: Whole bunch ferments and matured in used French puncheons. If there’s a better value entry pinot noir I haven’t met up with it. An utterly delicious tapestry of red and purple fruits sewn through a fine web of tannins, the finish long and convincing.
