The Magarey Lane vineyard, planted in 1989, has supplied grapes to many famous brands such as Reschke, and over the past 30 years, the largely unirrigated vines have matured and are producing wonderfully ripe and concentrated wines.

This is impressively styled and expressed, showing cassis, tobacco, warm spice, and toasty oak characters on the nose. The palate is equally gratifying with outstanding weight and depth, wonderfully complemented by refined texture and chalky tannins. Coming from the heart of Coonawarra, it has the weight, perfume and structure you expect from this great Cabernet region. And then there is the power. Wow, there is power. Perfumed notes of blackcurrant and blackberry with a leafy cherry and dark chocolate nuance. The palate is still in its primary phase, with the fine chalky tannins and gentle hit of oak holding the fruit, caressing it through to a very long finish.
