The late Jim Barry was a pioneer of the Australian wine industry. Today the company is headed by Jim's second son Peter. Jim Barry Wines produces their estate wines from family owned vineyards in the Clare Valley and Coonawarra. It has a wealth of violet, cassis, boysenberry and gently earthy aromas, all leading up to a palate that offers noble tannin length and texture. Ripe blueberry and blood-plum flavours. Drink now. This line of single vineyard wines is very good, with sassy fruit slung across unadulterated tannins and gentle acid crunch. The structure is the modus-operandi. Natural of feel.
