Hoddles Creek Estate was established in 1997 when the D'Anna family decided to establish a vineyard on the property that has been in the family since 1960. The vineyard sits astride Gembrook road and adjacent Hoddles Creek. Its steeply sloping blocks prohibit mechanical harvesting, with both vineyards being hand pruned and harvested. All wines are single vineyard and estate grown.

Very deep and youthful red-purple, bold and concentrated for a Yarra pinot noir. The aromas are reticient and shy, needing time to build the bouquet, but the raw materials are there. There is richness, fleshy extract and concentration aplenty, the tannins ample and fine-grained, powdery and contributing much by way of texture and structure. Superb wine that demands a bit of time in the bottle to blossom fully. It's well on the way now to a great glass of pinot noir.
