In 1865 Thomas Hardy had the foresight to begin blending grapes from different regions, believing that the blending would enhance the different qualities of the grapes. His vision proved to be right and it has since become the inspiration for the Heritage Reserve Bin (HRB) range.
From one of the coolest areas in McLaren Vale, the vines over 100yo, on the site of the original Hardys Upper Tintara winery; 2017: A ripe, full-bodied style with no shortage of oak flavouring both sweet and savoury yet it is still imposing. Expect plush tannins, floral notes with dark chocolate and spearmint. This can come from no other region.
