Domaine Derey is located in the village of Couchey, situated between Marsannay and Fixin and the family have been farming these vineyards since 1850 and remains a true family business to this day. The parents, Pierre and Suzanne, run the estate with their 3 sons Maxime, Romain, and Pierre-Marie. The family uses traditional methods to work the vineyards and gentle techniques that respect the soil.

15% whole bunch vinification. An attractive mid purple with a deliciously refined nose for a Fixin, less immediate intensity than Les Clos but impeccable balance and suavity with just an extra push of intensity behind. An interesting nose of freshly ground coffee, plum, violet and dark berries is trimmed in just enough wood to merit mentioning. There is fine volume to the super-sleek flavors that flash evident minerality on the balanced, youthfully austere and sneaky long finish.
