Bright crimson. A touch closed initially; this just needs a few swirls before revealing aromas of summer berries and light floral notes. Flavourful, easygoing and nicely balanced on the palate, with light, fine-grained tannins. Drink this well-priced wine now and over the next two to three years. Raspberry, cherry, almond, a minty and rosy perfume. It’s medium-bodied, crisp, red-fruited, a little aniseed-laced, fresh strawberry acidity, a fine pumice stone grip carries on a finish of good length. A nice wine here.
