At Balhannah Wine Estate, we believe that great wine is born in the vineyard. Located in the pristine Adelaide Hills, our estate is defined by its cool climate, elevated slopes, and diverse soils—ideal conditions for crafting wines of purity, structure, and distinctive character.
It's intensely aromatic on the nose with green apple, rockmelon, lime zest, and herbaceous aromas, followed by a fabulously expressed palate that's juicy and lively. Pristine and vibrant with a lengthy, mouth-watering finish. At its best: now to 2029. Rating: 94 Points; Wine Orbit
This is a Sauvignon Blanc with texture and presence. It’s a wine of genuine impact. It tastes of apples and gooseberries, nashi pears and lemongrass, with chalk, cream and cedar-smoke notes adding to a genuinely complex show. We’re in “feels good, tastes good” territory though the truth is, it’s better again than those words make it sound. Yes please is the short review here. Price: $32.00; Alcohol: 13%; Rating: 93 Points; Campbell Mattinson
Carries all the zippy, racy characters you would expect from savvy out of the Adelaide Hills. Plenty of passionfruit pulp and lemon zest, with a little crushed herbs and light grassiness adding further complexity on the nose. The palate is quite generous and flavoursome, with a spicy minerality extending through to a sustained finish. Drink by: 2026-2029; Rating: 92 Points; Ray Jordan
