2015 was an incredibly smooth harvest which commenced around a week earlier than expected. Fortunately, all of the Sauvignon Blanc coming from our Seaview Vineyard in the Awatere Valley was harvested in excellent condition. Medium lemon in color. Fresh fruit aromas such as black currant intermingle with fresh herbs and citrus. The palate is elegant and richly textured with a distinctive mineral note on the finish.
Wither Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014
Potent perfume showing some development, perhaps, with toastiness, quince, ripe tropical fruits, touch of marzipan and patisserie. Generous mouthfeel, sweeter, washier flavour profile, finishes fresh and yet a little sticky/cloying. Certainly an apt commercial style offering generosity of flavour and higher drinkability. Astrolabe Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Twice winner of the World's Best Sauvignon Blanc at the International Wine Show, London.
A blend of wines from the four distinctly different Marlborough sub-regions: Awatere Valley, Waihopai, Wairau Valley and Kekerengu. The result is about as true a representation of a regional style that I could imagine. Flavoursome sauvignon blanc with gooseberry, red capsicum, nectarine and lime, plus a suggestion of passionfruit flavours. Classy wine with an ethereal texture and lingering finish. Delivers everything a Marlborough sav blanc drinker expects and more. Rating: 95 Points - 5 Stars; Bob Campbell MW
Babich Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016
This is a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc which is consistently produced in a fuller, riper, softer style that develops well. Clean, fresh and tropical, with fruit from several vineyards situated throughout Marlborough. Tropical fruits and lime with a touch of gun smoke. The palate is a basket of sun-ripened stone fruits and passionfruit, blackcurrant with just a touch of grapefruit. Gentle power with a dry lingering finish.
