The latest incarnation of Petaluma Croser's NV Sparkling stays true to its "aperitif" roots while introducing a new era of the Croser style. Blended with each vintage providing unique notes, this Chardonnay-led wine offers nectarine, cashews and biscuit flavors coupled with a fine mousse and strawberry notes courtesy of the Pinot Noir grapes. The result is an elegant and refreshing quality able to be enjoyed now, or cellared for the future.

Traditional method, hand-picked pinot noir and chardonnay from the , aged on yeast lees in the bottle for 12 months; disgorged and bottled on demand. A complex wine; its fine bead lasts for some time, with cashew and almond notes on the bouquet, shifting to include grapefruit and green apple on the long, perfectly balanced palate. Price: $30.00; Alcohol: 13%; Rating: 93 Points; James Halliday

64% pinot noir, 36% chardonnay. Plenty of attitude. Strawberry and sweet bread flavours put on a pretty impressive show. Serve this and it won't go unnoticed. There's sweetness here but the base material is good. Indeed all things considered it's pretty keen buying. Rating: 92 Points; Campbell Mattinson; Wine Companion
