Dr. Edge is made by Peter Dredge. Cutting his teeth at Petaluma under the watchful gaze of Brian Croser, he was lured to Tasmania and now resides in Hobart, working with his own label (Dr. Edge) as well as stepping into winemaking duties at Meadowbank.

There’s a sense of real depth and enhanced fruit ripeness and expressiveness in this East Tasmania bottling. The nose is packed with peach and lemon-curd aromas and the palate has a succulent, fleshy and juicy feel with fresh peaches. Finishes tight and tidy. Drink now. Screw cap.
Rating: 95 Points; James Suckling

Light, bright yellow hue, the bouquet faintly cashew-nutty and creamy lees tinged, the palate is very frisky and alive with zesty acidity, which makes the mouth water. The finish is refreshingly crisp and dry. A really superb chardonnay. Rating: 95 Points; Huon Hooke

This is the most rugged and textural of the trio of Chardonnay from 2019. More fruit and weight, chalky texture, slight bitterness of lemon rind, white peach and other citrus, good length and a zesty finish. A little whiff of struck match here too. Precise but slightly rough around the edges. Will improve with more time in bottle. Tasted: Jan20; Alcohol: 12.5%; Price: $50; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2021 - 2028+; Rated: 94+ Points; Gary Walsh; The Wine Front
