Yarraloch is unashamedly inspired by the great wines of Europe. The singular focus of YarraLoch is to create world class wines from the Yarra Valley which are distinguished by their elegance, balance and complexity.
Spice, mescal, aniseed, dark cherry and undergrowth. Firm and dry, but with a quiet succulence, and while the fruit is there, it’s a more savoury and spicy expression of Pinot Noir. Good structure, dry and chalky on a pretty long finish. Adult expression, and pretty good too. Tasted: Oct 2019; Alcohol: 13%; Price: $50; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2019-2025+; Rated: 93 Points; Gary Walsh; The Wine Front
