The Siding is named after the railway siding - a local landmark that played a defining role during Coonawarra's early settlement.
The aim of this wine is to deliver a leading affordable Cabernet Sauvignon, showcasing exceptional varietal and regional characteristics of red cherry, mint and dark berry flavours, while an array of gentle tannins will further reward from short to medium term cellaring - Sue Hodder (winemaker)
I'm seldom impressed by redesigns of labels that have history on their side. This is an exception, and it also hits home runs in the mouth notwithstanding a challenging vintage. It is a pure rendition of blackcurrant varietal fruit, hints of mulberry and mint attesting to its region.
