The West Cape Howe winery is situated on the undulating, historical and picturesque property of Langton on Muir Highway, Mount Barker, Western Australia. The property was purchased from Goundrey in 2009. This state-of-the-art winery is a world class facility, importantly located in Mount Barker, the premier fruit source location for West Cape Howe.
Pale straw with a vibrant green hue. Notes of kaffir lime, spice and citrus are prevalent with an underlying presence of honeysuckle blossom and talc. The palate opens with lime, citrus and hints of spice. The primary fruit characters are subtle, the palate fine and pure with lingering fresh acidity. Drink now for its freshness and purity or cellar for up to 8 years.
The irrepressible purity of Porongurup permeates every corner of this wine. The palate is plush and plump, with characters of mandarin blossom, lemon pith and green apple; the acid a mineral-laden river coursing below it all. 5g/L of RS plumps out the texture, giving it a slip and slide that is most attractive. Not quite sweet, but not quite dry either. A thoroughly quenching and lovely riesling.
