Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot
The nose aromas of perfumed violets, cedar, cigar box, and old spice. The palate has dense plum and blackberry notes followed by old spice and perfumed violets which opens up to reveal more subtle nuances of cedar, potpourri and dark chocolate. The depth and complexity of this wine will develop over the next 20 years plus.
The wine is a deep red in the glass, the nose opens with time after initially showing graphite and blackberry before subtle influence of dark chocolate, old leather and oak derived spice. The palate has a firm baseline of tannin and acid that is met in equal measure by drying dark fruits, tobacco and dark chocolate build on the mid palate with expressive blackberry and a weave of spice to finish.
