UMAMU Estate is produced from the family vineyard in Margaret River with vines first planted in 1978. They place a strong emphasis on allowing the vineyard to express itself naturally while striving to achieve balance in the ecosystem. They work with what each different season presents and provides the best environment for each vine to produce balanced fruit for each desired wine style.
Vivid crimson-purple; a cabernet that exemplifies Umamu: it brings together cassis, quality French oak, and perfect cabernet tannins. Taken together you end up with aromas and flavours as complex as the texture and tannin structure. Right up there with the very best, and a long life ahead.
