Jacob’s Creek is named after the site where, in 1847, German immigrant Johann Gramp, founder of Orlando Wines (now Pernod Ricard Winemakers), planted the first commercial vineyard in the Barossa Valley. Today Jacob’s Creek is sold in more than 65 countries and nearly two million glasses of Jacob's Creek are enjoyed around the world every day.
The wine is made from three classic grape varieties – Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier which are the same grape varieties used in Champagne.
The bouquet shows breadcrust and red currant pinot noir fruit leads creamy and biscuity development while the palate has elegant and lively fruit flavours and are married with creamy yeast characterswhich carry through to a long clean finish. Good flavour weight and balance.
