Considered to be a benchmark producer in the region, Tiefenbrunner was founded in 1848. Their vineyards lie on the steep slopes of the region, one in particular, the Feldmarschell von Fenner Muller Thurgau is at 1000 metres above sea-level, and is trellised with the local pergola and wine frame methods. The winery is located in Entiklar, a hamlet of Kurtatsch and the estate consistently wins many awards in Italy's most famous wine guide, the "Gambero Rosso".
Straw yellow in color with lemon highlights, this Pinot Grigio is youthful and lively. On the nose, this wine has aromas of citrus, white flowers, pears, apples, and meadow grass. Upfront citrus flavors give way to stony minerality and a crisp finish. Wonderful as an aperitif or with butter-poached fish, scampi's and pasta primavera. #67 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2018
